Brighton Beach Memoirs

Evening Shows: April 27-29 & May 4-6 at 7:30 PM

Matinee: May 6 at 2:30

Brighton Beach Memoirs is Neil Simon’s hilarious semi-autobiographical portrait of a Jewish-American family as seen through the eyes of a 15-year-old boy, Eugene Morris. In pre-war-era Brooklyn the most pressing thoughts on Eugene’s mind are baseball…and girls. The play captures a few days in the life of a struggling family of six living under one roof: Eugene’s over-worked father, his under-appreciated mother, his worldly older brother, his widowed aunt and her two young daughters. The Tony award-winning play is an affectionate and entertaining lesson in overcoming hard times with warmth, and humor.
