Avant Bard | theatre on the edge
By William Shakespeare Directed by Tom Prewitt May 25 – June 25, 2017 Opening/press night: May 28, 2017
Shakespeare’s mature classic begins as fairy tale (“Once upon a time there was an old king who had three daughters…”) and ends in nightmare—of homelessness, alienation, family strife, and civil war. Tackling the title role in his Avant Bard debut, local acting legend Rick Foucheux brings his considerable experience and skills to bear on one of the most challenging parts in the Shakespeare canon.
