Ever wonder where exactly to place your feet in spins? Or do you yearn to create a spinning practice to make you impossibly fast? Maybe you want to teach spins in a way that gets students turning in just one class, or just hankering for a hunk of new ways to spice up your spins? Well haaaaaaay then, this class is for you.
We’ll learn:
- Clear foot placement for half-turns, pivot turns, hook turns, cross-over turns, and fast spins.
- The secrets to developing clean, controlled spins and increasing spin speed.
- How to teach students to work with weight shifts and foot placement to build up to spins.
- A challenging spin combo that can be cued or used for choreography.
So come to class as a good spinner, and leave with the tools to become an amazing one!
Class capped at 40 participants
- Difficulty: This is a 3-hr class geared towards intermediate/advanced level dancers, though all levels who want a challenge are welcome.
- Please bring: your favorite reusable water container. Dance shoes/socks highly recommended.
- Optional: yoga mat, pad and pen, exercise towel
