Dance Circus presents

about time...

original dances and mythic musings on the changing nature of time.

To Think of Time” is a dance-theatre performance of Betty Salamun’s choreography illuminating Walt Whitman’ poetry within the sound score of Ted Brusubardis’music and the late Jeff Poniewaz’s powerful voice.

In Sunny Side-Up, Salamun returns as the sun-goddess Sowilo and ultimate source of time in a freewheeling tour of solar myth and science traveling straight through to science fiction. This solo is woven into the dazzling music of international composer Marjorie Rusche’s Eclipse.

Looking back in time to medieval philosophy, company member Michaele Chaigneau-Norton explores ‘ether,’ the quintessence or spirit essence. QUINTESSENCE sets a quintet of dancers to investigate conflicting interactions shaping the individual through the interplay of all the moving parts.
