Sunday, October 1, 2017
3:00pm •  2:30pm Pre-concert talk

Huntington Recital Hall
Capital University

Rousing Baroque folk, dance, and art music, Dancing in the Isles includes original arrangements of traditional Irish and Scottish tunes, music from the English theater and Jacobean masques, trio sonatas by Scots Oswald and McGibbon, as well as works with a Scottish flavor by Matteis and Veracini, and Purcell’s famous “Three Parts upon a Ground.” Gramophone says Dancing in the Isles is “one of the zestiest recordings of recent vintage.”

“…little short of sensational...astonishing...breath-taking throughout” The Boston Musical Intelligencer
