Rodgers and Hammerstein Cabaret
After long and highly distinguished careers with other collaborators, composer Richard Rodgers and lyricist Oscar Hammerstein joined forces in 1943 to create the most consistently prolific and successful partnership in American Musical Theater.
The team revolutionized the musical play with Oklahoma and went on to write the musical adaptations of Carousel, South Pacific, The King and I and The Sound of Music.
