Five Points Washington

The Peoria Area Civic Chorale's 36th season will conclude with an inspirational program dedicated to America’s favorite songs, hymns, and anthems. Enjoy songs such as What a Wonderful World, No Time, Bright Morning Stars, Down By the Riverside, America the Beautiful, music by Irving Berlin, Stephen Foster, Paul Simon, and much, much more.

Our special guest artist is tenor soloist and jazz trumpeter Michael Jones. Jones, a Chicago native, performs nationwide as a soloist and chamber musician. He regularly sings with the Grammy Nominated group, The Crossing, appears regularly at The Green Mill, Chicago's legendary jazz club, with Alan Gresik and the Swing Shift Orchestra and has performed on five Downbeat Award-winning recordings. Michael studied at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music for his Bachelors in Jazz Trumpet and Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music for his Masters in Jazz Trumpet.

Friday's concert will also feature a 90 voice 3rd and 4th grade Festival Chorus comprised of students from area public and private schools. Saturday attendees are invited to attend our Barth Dowling Honorary Reception sponsored by Lexus of Peoria following the concert.

Plan now to share beautiful and inspirational music with the Peoria Area Civic Chorale on Friday, May 4th or Saturday, May 5th at 7:30 pm at Five Points Washington.
