It just isn’t Christmas until you’ve experienced the Peoria Area Civic Chorale’s An American Family Christmas. Get into the Yuletide spirit with beautiful music from classical carols to secular holiday favorites. Plan ahead, pick the date that fits perfectly into your family’s holiday plans, and come experience the Civic Chorale’s spectacular An American Family Christmas at Five-Points Washington on either December 15 & 16, at 7:30 PM, or on Sunday, December 17 at 3:00 PM.

Each performance will feature the Civic Chorale, the Civic Chorale’s Youth Chorus, a performance by one of our Young Artist Competition winners and our special featured soloist for Christmas 2017, Shelby Jones Wehrenberg. Shelby is a lyric soprano who is a product of Illinois Wesleyan, Butler University, and the American Institute of Musical Study in Graz, Austria. She has enjoyed an international career, performing the role of Musetta in La Bohème at the International Opera Performing Experience in Mercatello sul Metauro, Italy, and Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni with the Varna International Opera Academy in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria.

As always, our Friday night performance will also include performances by two outstanding, 90-voice Youth Choruses representing young talented singers from throughout Central Illinois, the Children’s Festival Chorus and the Junior High Festival Chorus. We hope you and your family can join us this holiday season!

Saturday 12/16 only: A bus from Peoria Charter Coach will pick up riders to attend An American Family Christmas at 6:15 p.m. at 2 Chez restaurant on N.
