Kicking off the film festival with Hot Water - the film that opened the Strand in 1924!
72-Hour Cell Phone Film Contest (Thurs. 11/2 @ 7pm)
Come watch submitted films from local residents and students as part of this year's film contest.
Gala Evening (Fri. 11/3 @ 7pm)
An event not to be missed! Wear your ‘evening’ best, enjoy premiere films and dance at the After-Party.
The Big Day (Sat. 11/4 all day; doors open at 11:30am)
• FREE family-friendly films starts at noon to kick off Saturday’s all-day programming. Action, comedy, and drama!
• HEADLINER: Screening of Oliver Stone's Heaven and Earth with special guests, including the film's real-life memoirist, Ms. Le Ly Hayslip and actress Thuan Le (special presentation on Saturday at 6:30pm).
Awards and Closing (Sun. 11/5 all day; doors open at 11:30am)
The day starts with documentaries and ends with Man with a Plan, a 1996 satire about Vermont Farmer, Fred Tuttle, who runs for Con-gress! Closing ceremony: our picks for the best films of the 2017 Film Festival, including the winner of the People's Choice Award.
