TWO WORLD PREMIERE WORKS

NW Dance Project’s founding Artistic Director Sarah Slipper furthers her examination of strong and unconventional female characters and related storylines, this time turning her attention to the iconic 19th century Henrik Isben (Norway) play Hedda Gabler, a classic of realism and world drama. Hedda is a full-length piece (appx. 65 minutes) with an original score from noted dance composer Owen Belton and innovative sets from Spanish designer Luis Crespo.
HEDDA IS SPONSORED IN PART BY RONNI LACROUTE

For the first time since his US choreographic debut with NW Dance Project in 2007, world renowned choreographer Cayetano Soto, Ballet BC Resident Choreographer, makes his way back to unveil a new dance work filled with whimsy and abandon.
