GRAND SINGERS CHORALE - 2018 SPRING CONCERT

The theme for this year’s Grand Singers and Chorale Spring Concert is “WHAT’S OLD IS NEW AGAIN”. The 145 voice chorus and 32 voice Chorale under the direction of Pamela J. Weir, will open the concert with a familiar song “Let There Be Peace”, but with a feeling of gospel and swing. You will hear a variety of familiar traditional American and Irish folk songs, spirituals, and pop songs in newer arrangements. “You Raise Me Up” arranged by Mark Hayes, will be the last number in the first half of the Grand Singers. Among other songs, the Chorale will sing two newer a cappella arrangements of “Happy Together” and “Blue Moon”. The finale is a powerful Mark Hayes arrangement of “Battle Hymn of the Republic”.
