Part 2. Students are welcome to take parts 1 and 2 together, or separately. They will build off each other, but part 2 is accessible without taking part 1.
In this workshop Amel Tafsout will introduce the various dance movements that are specific to West Algeria and Morocco, and their various steps. She will teach the similarities and differences in each dance, talk about costuming, give some background of each dance and teach some sequences for each style.
After a warm up we will focus on the West Algerian and Moroccan dances with a choreography.

- Difficulty: All levels welcome. This is a 3-hour class capped at 25 students, to give students a chance to really sink into learning from our Master instructors.
- Please bring: pad and pen, your favorite reusable water container, a long hip scarf with no coins and a long veil or a saree.
- Optional: yoga mat, dance shoes, exercise towel
