Join the Orchestra for the opening concert of this, our fourteenth season, featuring Stratford based flautist Liesel Deppe performing the Stephenson Piccolo Concerto. Like a Monet painting, Debussy’s ” Prelude a L’Apres Midi d’un Faune” shimmers, an evocative and haunting masterpiece heralding the beginning of modern music. Completing the evening is Russian composer Alexander Borodin’s heroic Symphony No. 2 including many of his most famous melodies.
