When Verucas father gets deployed overseas and her mother passed away, Veruca is sent to live with her aunt and cousins in the small Louisiana bayou swamp town of Bonne Vie. She hopes she’s finally found a place to call home. Yet despite its welcoming nature, there’s something eerie about this remote town hidden amongst the shadowy cypress trees.
