Tragedies and Triumphs
Friday & Saturday, March 1 & 2, 2019, 8:00 p.m.
Sponsored by Coldwell Banker Sellers Realty
Embark on an evening of high drama, moving from despair to elation. The concert opens with Brahms’ dark, uncompromising commentary on the inherent tragedy of human life. His themes surge and spin in a tempest of emotion. Up-and-coming soprano Clara Lisle follows, offering an enchanting mix of opera favorites, some sweetly charming and others imbued with intense longing. Rimsky-Korsakov’s exuberant and virtuosic Capriccio Espagnol concludes the evening’s performance.

Our free "Musical Notes" lecture begins at 7 p.m. each concert night.
