Director Sarah Sheldrick’s vision of Shakespeare’s classic farce The Comedy of Errors is set in Seattle's Pike Place Market, 1999. The story starts as a father, a new immigrant to the city, is arrested and must plead his case to the authorities. He has long been separated from his children and only wishes to find out if they live in the city. Meanwhile, two other new immigrants sneak into the city unnoticed, but they, too, run into problems. Unknown to them, they both have siblings living in town with identical identities! What follows is a series of mishaps and hilarious adventures. The design of this Majestic Theatre production takes us back to the 1990’s. Look for your favorite 90’s styles mashed into this iconic Seattle setting. The stage is set for fake news, pandemonium, mistaken identity, and suspense, as we wait to see the heartwarming moment when a lost father and a mourning mother are reunited with their children! Come and experience this classic story, performed with new relevance!
