THE BAD SEED

By Maxwell Anderson, from William March's novel

Directed by Evan Cornelius

In a small Southern town, Colonel and Christine Penmark live with their daughter, Rhoda. On the surface, Rhoda is sweet, charming, and full of old-fashioned graces, but Rhoda's mother has an uneasy feeling about her. When one of Rhoda's schoolmates mysteriously drowns at a picnic, Mrs. Penmark is alarmed. The boy who drowned had won the penmanship medal that Rhoda felt she deserved. THE BAD SEED is one of Broadway's outstanding hits and ranks with such horror classics as DRACULA.
