Soprano Liv Redpath joins the Bakken in a program that showcases the symbiotic relationship between vocal and instrumental chamber music. The expansive lyricism of Brahms' First Violin Sonata grows directly out of its intrinsic connection to his Op. 59 songs, Regenlied ("Rain song") and Nachklang ("Lingering sound").
