A Christmas Carol

November 22 to December 21
by Christopher Scharios
Adapted from the book
by Charles Dickens
By special arrangement with Dramatic Publishing
Directed by Jennifer Levens

A Christmas Carol is in its essence a ghost story of redemption. The charm of this adaptation is that instead of a ‘cast of thousands’ there are only seven players, one of whom is a fiddler. All of the sound effects and music are provided on a very bare stage. Much of the story is narrated, with some character interpretation and laced together by the fiddler and traditional Christmas carols.
This is an exciting version of the story which includes the ‘Greek Chorus’, a puppet show and lots of ghosts and strange lighting. You will go home knowing that the season is a giving time and that that giving is a year-round activity not just reserved for certain times of the year.
