The 2019 New Waves Festival

Our celebration of new plays and playwrights returns! This time we feature the winners in our recent Short Play Contest for central Vancouver Island writers. Join us for Dante Ambriel’s startling "Mama Bear, Papa Bear and Baby Bear," in which a family’s cell phones reveal unwelcome secrets; "Public Intoxication" by Miles Hayes, a tender evocation of a transgender man’s attempt to reconnect with his old high school buddies; and Sean Enns’ rollicking "Dispossessed" in which a fashion-conscious demon attempts to swap lives with a teenage girl, with devilishly funny results.

All three plays will be presented at each performance. Four performances only!

Audience advisory: Adult language and content.
