Dalton State College will present “Amplituba” at the Creative Arts Guild Wednesday, September 19, 7:30 pm

Amplituba is amplified tuba with effects, where each piece is a unique improvisation. Some of these pieces feature very heavy effects and other only very minimal, but each is designed to add to the piece and the emotions associated to the titles. These effects combined with the natural sound of the tuba and extended techniques, make for a novel experience not often heard. Amplituba has played in rock clubs, new music venues and on traditional classical concerts in the Atlanta area. Amplituba is the amplified solo project of Bill Pritchard.
The program will be presented on Wednesday, September 19th at 7:30pm at the Creative Arts Guild, located at 520 West Waugh Street in Dalton. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors over 65 and non-Dalton State students. Dalton State staff, faculty and students are admitted free with a valid i.d. The concerts are supported by the Dalton State Foundation and the School of Liberal Arts. For more information, contact Dr. Ellie Jenkins at Dalton State at ejenkins@daltonstate.edu.
