Dalton State College Presents: Dalton State Singers, Tuesday, November 27th at 7:30

Dalton State College will present the Dalton State Singers for a concert at the Creative Arts Guild. The group will give their first concert directed by Dr. Andy Baker. Dr. Baker is the longtime choral director at Dalton High School, and joined the faculty of Dalton State College in August. The choir will perform a wide range of repertoire, including music by Handel, an Irish air by Stanford, and Smetana’s opening chorus from his opera The Bartered Bride, sung in Czech. The concert will also feature Dr. Rosella Ewing-Terry as soloist in “Dove Sei?” from Handel’s opera Rodelinda. Dr. Ewing-Terry also joined the DSC faculty this fall, after serving on the faculty of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Paula Pasqua accompanies the choir.
The concert will be held Tuesday, November 27th at 7:30pm in Jonas Hall of the Creative Arts Guild, located at 520 West Waugh Street in Dalton.

This concert is supported by the Dalton State Foundation and the School of Liberal Arts.
