Featuring the hilarious Brad Zimmerman (stand-up comic and creator of My Son the Waiter, A Jewish Tragedy) in his brand new one-man show, My Rise to the Middle, which digs deep into his long odyssey from obscurity and self-defeat to the sunshine of self-fulfillment. His send-ups of his childhood, family, misbegotten love life and career are as warm and poignant as they are hysterical. As Brad says, “What is it that gets us to finally give ourselves permission to pursue our dreams, no matter how daunting that may be? My Rise to the Middle just might have the answer. And then again, it might not. Either way, you’re going to laugh your tuchas off…”
Brad Zimmerman was born and raised right here in Oradell, where he attended River Dell High School. He went to sleep-away camp at Camp Akiba in Reeders PA and was bar mitzvahed at Temple Emmanuel in Westwood, NJ. The actor/comedian has been featured on “The Sopranos” and on the same stand-up bill with legends such as George Carlin, Brad Garrett, Susie Essman, Freddie Roman, Dick Capri, Pat Cooper and Joan Rivers (“the best comic… in his price range.”).
Don’t miss this fantastic fundraising event with the hugely talented Brad Zimmerman!
Fun Fact: Did you know that after touring his show in nearly every American city that has at least one Jewish family, Brad Zimmerman has received close to 600 marriage proposals?*
* Most of these have been by mothers on behalf of their daughters.
Brad Zimmerman is still single.
