Spend a glorious morning of Alpine or Nordic skiing at pristine, unspoiled Ski Cooper. Expect no lift lines, long, wide groomed runs and no manmade snow. And, as an added bonus for those who prefer Nordic skiing or snowshoeing, just a few steps away from Cooper is the Tennessee Pass Nordic Center where beautiful groomed trails are open for all to enjoy.

Following this idyllic outdoors endeavor a hot lunch will be served in the Lodge.

Post lunch you’ll be sure to enjoy a showing of a video presentation of The Last Ridge. This excellent documentary about the Tenth Mountain Division shows how this WWII army regiment trained for high alpine warfare at both Ski Cooper and nearby Camp Hale. This intensive training took them to Italy where they fought major battles against the German Army in the Apennine Mountains and became true WWII heroes. What a perfect way to spend a winter day.
