French Gulch is a living example of everything connected to a gold rush happening. It has what was once a roaring mining camp - Lincoln City. French Pass saw thousands of eager prospectors cross into Summit County beginning in 1859. And the area has examples of every type of mining done in the area during the latter half of the 19th century.

Our hike will show you much of this history combined with Rick Hague’s explanation of how it all fit together.

Join us for an entertaining snowshoe hike and presentation, followed by a warming lunch at the home of Carole Weller.
