2016/2017 Season of Plays

Hay Fever by Noel Coward

Directed by Brenda Hubbard

Kick off your holiday festivities with Noel Cowards hilarious comedy of bad manners. Hay Fever has been a favorite among theatregoers ever since it first dazzled London’s East End in 1925. Retired stage star Judith Bliss’ her novelist husband and their two bohemian adult children have each invited houseguests for the weekend, but as the Blisses indulge their artistic eccentricities in a hilarious whirlwind of flirtation and histrionics, the guests begin to wonder if they have landed in a madhouse and if they can survive with their own wits intact.

This Random World by Steven Dietz

Directed by Beth Harper

West Coast Premier
We want to believe that serendipity brings us together, that luck is available to all, and that randomness is just a myth, but, is it? Mining the comedy of missed connections, This Random World asks the serious question of how often we travel parallel paths through the world without noticing. Do we see what is right in front of us? Are we capable of that? From an ailing woman who plans one final trip, to her daughter planning one great escape and her son falling prey to a prank gone wrong, this funny, intimate, and heartbreaking play explores the lives that may be happening just out of reach of our own. A hit at the 2016 Humana Festival.

Previews April 5-7, runs April 7-23
