| Vivaldi’s Four Seasons: Four by Four
MASTERWORKS SERIES - October 2022
The perennial favorite Four Seasons performed by four virtuoso violinists! This exuberant celebration of violin artistry will also include improvised fantasias and Vivaldi’s Concerto in F for three violins. Featured soloists are our own Cynthia Miller Freivogel and Martin Davids plus Ingrid Matthews and the selected artist in our national Young Artist Spotlight, Rachell Ellen Wong.

December 8 and 9, Two more performances, Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon, once in Denver and once in Douglas County. Venues and times to be announced by August.

MASTERWORKS SERIES - December 2022
BCOC's core ensemble of strings and recorders brings a luminous glow to the winter night, with a distinctive blend of Baroque favorites and our own new arrangements of traditional folk music. Corelli's beloved Christmas concerto, a suite of lively French Noels, virtuoso solo concertos of Bach and Handel, plus folk tunes from Ireland, Scandinavia and the Americas. | La Púrpura de la Rosa / The Blood of the Rose
MASTERWORKS SERIES -January 2023
An original new production of this mythical story of love and loss shared across cultures, with rich layers of music, drama and spectacle — the first opera performed in the Americas. Composed by Tomás de Torrejón y Velasco and a libretto in Spanish by Pedro Calderon de la Barca.

| Invitation to the Dance
MASTERWORKS SERIES - May 2023
A Baroque dancer joins an expanded orchestra (with oboes and bassoon) for a demonstration of the minuet dance steps and for Jean-Fery Rebel's "Characters of the Dance," a tour-de-force for solo dancer and orchestra. Rounding out the program for this festive season finale is black composer and abolitionist Ignatius Sancho's minuets (composed for social dancing in 18th-century London) and Bach's Orchestral Suite No. 1, powered by the lively dance rhythms of the Baroque.
