Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling
This 1980’s comedy-drama is about the bond among a group of Southern women in northwest Louisiana.  When one of these “steel magnolias” risks pregnancy and forfeits her life, the sudden realization of mortality affects the others, but also draws upon their underlying strength which give the play, and its characters, the special quality to make them truly touching.

Bunnicula Adapted by Jon Klein.  Based on the Books by James and Deborah Howe
Based on the popular 1980’s children's book series, this play is about the Monroe family and their pet cat, Chester, and their pet dog, Harold.  When the family comes home one night from the movies, they come bearing a surprise: a bunny they found in the theater. But when the Monroe’s produce starts losing its juice, Chester thinks he knows what’s causing the phenomenon.

The Young Irelanders: Making Old Traditions New

The Young Irelanders comprises eight sensational performers who have Irish traditional music, song & dance running through their veins. Although still in their 20’s and 30’s, these performers have achieved more than most people would aspire to in a lifetime.

Between them they have performed for many heads of state, Presidents of Ireland, US Presidents, the Queen of England, the President of China, Prince Albert of Monaco, among others.  Theatre in L.A . The artists have also toured as lead performers with Riverdance and Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance, been soloists on PBS Specials, shared the stage with Bono, and have collaborated with Ronnie Wood (Rolling Stones) and Sting (The Police).

From the era that brought the world The Rubik's Cube, Max Headroom, Star Wars, MTV and The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comes a musical comedy that is "totally awesome!”  In the style of such movies as Back to the Future, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Karate Kid, and The Breakfast Club, Back to the 80’s is a nostalgic and enjoyable romp through the greatest hits of the decade.
 
This production is a joint venture of the Theatre Arts, Opera & Musical Theatre, and Music programs of the Department of Visual and Performing Arts.

The Remarkable Rooming-House of Madame Le Monde by Tennessee Williams
This little-known play was published shortly before Tennessee Williams’ death in 1983.
Using a group of nefarious characters living in a London rooming-house, Williams explores the primitive instincts he believed were hidden beneath society’s “civilized” veneer.
Production contains adult themes.
