The Mockingbird Sings is a musical about the Bristol Sessions set in 1927 downtown Bristol. It tells the story of the first recordings of Country Music and the discoveries of Jimmie Rodgers, The Carter Family, and many others. It was written by Dr. Nancy Hamblen Acuff, Terry Harkleroad and Sharon Cort.
