Bach, from Cöthen to Leipzig

Kick off BVF Maine's 10th anniversary at Saint Alban’s Church, our new location in Cape Elizabeth. The concert opens with Obbligato Sonata in G and concludes with the stunning vocal work, Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben, BWV 147. The opening night concert also features Prelude, Trio, and Fugue in B-flat, BWV 545b performed by Hentus Van Rooyen, Director of Music Ministries and organist at Saint Alban’s, leading into intermission, Orchestral Suite #1 in C Major, BWV 1066 featuring the Bach Virtuosi Festival Orchestra rounds out a special celebratory evening.
