Real Love –Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton Tribute pays homage to the legendary duo, delivering faithful renditions of their greatest solo hits and duets. From the tender ballads like "Lady" and "I Will Always Love You," to the foot-stomping anthems like "The Gambler" and "9 to 5". Each song is performed with precision and reverence, evoking memories and emotions in fans worldwide.
Award-winning country recording artist Alan Turner recreates the magic of a night with Kenny Rogers in this ultimate tribute performance spanning six decades of song. Turner is considered one of the most entertaining and authentic tribute performers around.
Newfoundland born vocalist Laurie Lynn began performing country music at the age of 9. Her authentic vibrato voice, remarkably similar to that of Dolly, her petite frame, and witty sense of humor create a memorable and authentic portrayal. Laurie Lynn is an International Dolly Parton tribute artist, performing across Canada, USA and Mexico.

Little ones, ages three to six, with a caregiver are invited to join us for a musical morning of fun. Each session will introduce your little one to a different section of the orchestra. We’ll learn together about brass, woodwind, string and percussion instruments. Each session will include an opportunity for age-appropriate learning, arts and crafts and music-making with professional musicians and instructors.
Please note, this is not a drop-off program. Each paid child’s ticket includes admission for one caregiver with the child.

The Detroit Concert Choir is Detroit’s internationally acclaimed vocal ensemble, celebrated for exceptional programming and distinctive performances. The choir is in its 38th season and has been under the artistic direction of Dr. Michael A. Mitchell since June 2019.
Dedicated to promoting choral music of high artistic merit and cultural enrichment for the community, the ensemble presents an annual music series featuring some of Metro Detroit’s finest singers and instrumentalists. The choir's 90 voices are comprised of talented musicians from over 40 communities who perform diverse styles of choral music and great classical works for chorus and orchestra.
Throughout its rich history, the Detroit Concert Choir has participated in international choral competitions and received many national and international honors, including the title of “Choir of the World." Fresh from their 2024 European concert tour, the choir will kick off its 38th season at The Hawk this fall.
Detroit Concert Choir is an activity of the Detroit Performing Artists, Inc. The choir’s activities are supported by the Michigan Arts and Culture Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.

When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he's handed a task — if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Under the direction of Steven SeGraves for 34 years, The Farmington Chorus was established in 1980 through the sponsorship of the Farmington Hills Parks and Recreation Department. The Chorus has been performing holiday concerts and spring concerts ever since. With more than sixty members, The Farmington Chorus performs a variety of Broadway favorites, ballads, vocal jazz, and classical music.

The featured artists include Alice McAllister Tillman, Dewayne McAllister, Peter McAllister and Maestro Willie McAllister, Jr. Individually their excellence is well known, but when brought together for Once Upon a December Eve, they create a magic that is not often witnessed!
Alice McAllister Tillman, Soprano, is a versatile artist whose experiences have taken her to concert halls and recital stages throughout North America. She is known for her ability to perform a diverse range of literature spanning many genres. She has been presented in solo recitals that include Art Song, Operatic Arias, Spirituals, Musical Theater and Jazz. She is frequently engaged in Oratorio and Symphonic presentations. Alice is a long-standing member of the Award-Winning Brazeal Dennard Chorale and accepted the role of Artistic Director in September of 2015. In her debut season as Artistic Director, Ms. McAllister Tillman had the honor of conducting The Brazeal Dennard Chorale and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in a performance of Roland Carter’s Lift Every Voice and Sing. She holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance, a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and a State of Michigan Teacher Certification from The University of Michigan School of Music, Theater & Dance. Ms. McAllister Tillman is the creator and featured solo artist of Once Upon a December Eve. Alice McAllister Tillman is a featured recording artist on The Second Anthology of Art Songs by Black American Composers, The New Negro Spiritual, Remembering II Significant Spirituals, Reflections and Once Upon a December Eve.

Xiao Dong Wei, Master of the Erhu, and Steinway Artist, Yuki Mack, return to the Hawk Black Box for a concert celebrating Lunar New Year.
At the age of 11, Xiao Dong Wei was accepted into the prestigious Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing where she earned her degree. A Kresge Artist, University of Michigan lecturer, frequent guest soloist for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and other renowned orchestras, Xiao Dong Wei has travelled the world sharing her profound musical talent.
Yuki Mack has performed throughout the United States and three continents. Yuki’s performances include a broad range of piano works including chamber music and as a soloist with many orchestras.

YEMAN is an Iraqi-American 30-year-old acoustic fingerstyle guitarist based in Royal Oak, MI. Drawing on inspirations from his upbringing and influences from Tommy Emmanuel, Ritchie Blackmore, Mark Knopfler, amongst many others, he composes original fingerstyle guitar works. He has formerly opened for world-class guitarists such as Stefano Barone, Pino Forastiere, Antoine Dufour, Michael Chapdelaine, Kyran Daniel, and Calum Graham.

Celebrate 45 years of choral tradition with The Farmington Chorus. This sapphire anniversary celebration is sure to be a delight. The Farmington Chorus is a community chorus with more than sixty members. Under the direction of Steven SeGraves for 34 years, the chorus was established in 1980 through the sponsorship of the Farmington Hills Parks and Recreation Department. The Chorus has been performing holiday concerts and spring concerts ever since. The Farmington Chorus performs a variety of Broadway favorites, ballads, vocal jazz, and classical music.

Comprised of Micah Middaugh (guitar, vocals), Andréa Paz (cello, vocals) and Trevor Hobbs (percussion and keys), the trio Breathe Owl Breathe have a knack for wrapping universal emotions in childlike language. …There, by the heat of a wood stove, they honed their sound—a wild rumpus of harmony and rhythm. The band’s music is terrifically disarming, Middaugh’s cracked tenor ambling over acoustic guitars, Paz’s cello swooping in gracefully, like a warm breeze or a host of doves. While some peers have reveled in reinvigorating the old, weird side of Americana, Breathe Owl Breathe's flare for pop-addled melodies flips the contemporary folk aesthetic, eschewing freakiness in favor of charm. It’s a dynamic built on coupling clever arrangements with lyrical whimsy and a folklore that is otherworldly.
