"Evil Dead the Musical" is a comedic rock stage play based on the Evil Dead horror franchise. We open with five college students who accidentally unleash an evil force while spending the weekend in an abandoned cabin in the woods. The students are transformed into demons and must be saved by Ash, an S-Mart employee who relies on his trusty chainsaw to save the day. "Evil Dead the Musical" first premiered in Toronto in 2003 and moved on to an off-Broadway run in 2006.
Evil Dead combines elements of horror, comedy and musical theater. It has fun with the horror genre and the tongue-in-cheek, campy and over the top humor can appeal to newcomers and fans of the films. The songs are witty with names like “What the F____ was That?” and “Good Old Reliable Jake”. There will be an option to buy a premium seat in the “splatter section” While the Evil Dead franchise has been a cult sensation, Evil Dead the Musical has become a cult sensation of it’s own.
"Evil Dead the Musical" has violence and gore. Blood splatters everywhere, hands get sawed off by chainsaws... Lots of sexual jokes and sexual references. The F-word is dropped many times along with other profanity and tons of irreverent humor. The movies took themselves very seriously with the occult content but the musical makes light of it. This would not be appropriate for children under 16 unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. | Buy tickets |

Their new apartment is her most recent find – too expensive with bad plumbing and in need of a paint job. After a six-day honeymoon, they get a surprise visit from Corie’s loopy mother and decide to play matchmaker during a dinner with their neighbor-in-the-attic, Velasco, where everything that can go wrong does. Paul just doesn’t understand Corie, as she sees it. He’s too staid, too boring, and she just wants him to be a little more spontaneous. Running “barefoot in the park” would be a start… | Buy tickets |
