Grounded in the school’s "learn by doing" philosophy, it offers students real-world, professional
touring experience alongside celebrated alumni and faculty. Alumni Gabriel Kovach, horn and Benjamin Schmid, violin will be performing with the ensemble.

Join Chamber Music Pittsburgh for our concert Monday, February 3, 2020 at 7:30pm at Carnegie Music Hall, Oakland featuring Gryphon Trio and Nordic Voices. For over 25 years, the Gryphon Trio has firmly established itself as one of the world’s preeminent piano trios, garnering acclaim and impressing international audiences with its highly refined, dynamic and memorable performances. Formed in 1996, Nordic Voices comprises six graduates from the Norwegian Academy of Music and the Norwegian Academy of Opera, who, in addition to their singing backgrounds, have a broad range of experience from choral conducting to teacher training and composition.

Please join Chamber Music Pittsburgh for our concert on Monday, March 30, 2020 at 7:30pm at Carnegie Music Hall, Oakland featuring Pamela Frank, violin and Emanuel Ax, piano. Frank's chamber music projects include performances with such artists as Peter Serkin, Yo-Yo Ma, and her father, the late pianist Claude Frank; and frequent appearances with the Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, and Musicians from Marlboro. Ax begins the current season with concerts in Vienna, Paris and London with the trios of Brahms recently released by SONY Classical. In the US he returns to the orchestras in Cleveland, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Washington, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Nashville and Portland, OR, and to Carnegie Hall for a recital to conclude the season. In Europe he can be heard in Munich, Amsterdam, Berlin, Rome, Vienna, London, and on tour with the Budapest Festival Orchestra in Italy.

Join Chamber Music Pittsburgh for our concert on Monday, April 27, 2020 at 7:30pm at Carnegie Music Hall in Oakland featuring the Diderot String Quartet, who will be playing on period classical instruments. Diderot came together in 2012 after having first met at Oberlin Conservatory and The Juilliard School. The four musicians share a background in historical performance and a passion for the string quartet genre; they found the thrill of exploring the quartet repertoire on period instruments to be irresistible.
