| Sensory Friendly Performance of The Nutcracker
A whimsical holiday adventure with a uniquely Vancouver twist!
Friday, Dec 15, 2023 at 6pm
With lower music volume, some light left on the audience, buffer seats, and a shush-free environment, this show is designed for anyone with sensory concerns. Audience members are welcome to enter and exit the auditorium as needed and absolute silence is not a requirement.
There will be tutus and Tchaikovsky, magic and mystery – necessary ingredients for all Nutcrackers. However, this one-of-a-kind production will also feature beavers fighting fur trappers, dancing wapato plants, and Oregon Trail children arriving via covered wagon as local Fort Vancouver history is weaved into the plot of a classic ballet.
The performance is approximately 2 hours long, including a 20 minute intermission.
Skyview Concert Hall, 1300 NW 139th St, Vancouver, WA 98685
