SEUSSICAL

Directed by Lisa Drummond

“The Cat in the Hat rules!” – Talking Broadway
Seussical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! Tony winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters. The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust that contains the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many “thinks.” Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant. Seussical is fun for the whole family!

KENTUCKY

Directed by Charlenn Knighton

“KENTUCKY marks the full-length debut of a distinctive new voice—mouthy, sly and bourbon sweet, with the expected kick.” – The New York Times.
Hiro is a self-made woman making it in New York. But she is also single, almost thirty, and estranged from her dysfunctional family who lives in Kentucky. When her little sister, a born-again Christian, decides to marry at twenty two, Hiro takes it upon herself to do whatever she can to stop the wedding and salvage any shred of hope she had about her sister’s future. The themes of identity, religion, and love collide in this unique coming-of age story.

ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST

Directed by Will Springhorn

“Cuckoo is captivating…Funny, touching, and exciting.” – New York Times
When Randle Patrick McMurphy gets transferred to a mental institution, he encounters Nurse Ratched who runs the psychiatric ward with an iron fist, keeping her patients cowed through abuse, medication, and sessions of electroconvulsive therapy. The battle of wills between the rebellious McMurphy and the inflexible Ratched soon turns into a scorching and devastatingly honest portrayal of the boundaries between sanity and madness.

NUTS

Directed by Beth McBrien

“Nuts is a play that moves you… (It) has the audience rooting for the good guys and hating the bad guys.” – New York Post
Nuts has been called the best courtroom melodrama since Witness for the Prosecution. Set in a courtroom in New York’s Bellevue Hospital, the story follows a high-priced call girl incarcerated on a charge for killing a violent “john”. The State, represented by a court appointed psychiatrist and an aggressive prosecutor, say Claudia Faith Draper is unfit to stand trial. As testimony from experts, physicians and her parents unfolds, with her psyche and childhood dissected, she proves to the judge that she isn’t “nuts” and stands legally sane at trial for manslaughter.
