BLOOD AT THE ROOT BY DOMINIQUE MORISSEAU

This bold play by playwright and poet Dominique Morisseau (Confederates, Sunset Baby, Detroit ’67,and Skeleton Crew) examines the miscarriage of justice and racial double standards, as students today still protest on college campuses. This striking ensemble drama is based on the Jena Six case; six Black students were initially charged with attempted murder for a school fight after being provoked by nooses hanging from campus trees.

In a time when making new theater has never been more difficult, bringing new work to life is an act of rebellion! Fells Point Corner Theatre is deeply proud of our short play festival's legacy and impact, having launched work that lives on in full-length plays and feature films that have gone far beyond our local stage. Often our best selling production of the year, and involving the efforts of many, many volunteers, this festival will once again showcase ten short plays written by ten local playwrights, performed by an ensemble of ten actors.

No Refunds

Unfortunately, FPCT is not able to offer ticket refunds unless a show is cancelled. All sales are final. 

Exchange

FPCT allows you to exchange your tickets for free for another performance (of the SAME production) up until 90 minutes before showtime. You can make exchanges online via the ticketing system here, or by clicking the link in your order confirmation email.

Parking

FPCT strongly suggests guests allow plenty of time to find parking. Free parking is available throughout the neighborhood. Metered parking is available on Broadway (be sure to check the meter times; they can vary block to block). FPCT is not responsible for any tickets or towing you may receive.
