Ole & Lena Present:

Ole Runs for Office

A Musical Comedy

January 20th @ 2:00pm

Ole and Lena are back at the Grand with their first
MUSICAL! It’s time again when Muskrat Lodge 3412 elects officers and Ole has decided to throw his hat in the ring and run against longtime nemesis, Knut Knutson, lodge president for the past 20 years. Knutson, proprietor of Knutson’s Heating, Air Conditioning and Live Bait Shop
is one of Potsdam’s “shakers and movers” and has been a thorn in Ole’s side since they were kids in school. Lena says Ole spends far too much time at that smelly old lodge already and thinks this is one of the most hair brained ideas Ole has ever had.
Will Lena talk Ole out of the political limelight or cave in to the glamour of being “first lady of the lodge”? Be a part of all of the craziness yourself when you, the audience, determine the outcome in this laugh riot “Ole Runs for Office”!

Based on the true story of eleven WI members who posed nude for a calendar to raise money for the Leukaemia Research Fund. When tragedy strikes Annie’s husband she and best friend Chris resolve to raise money and manage to persuade four fellow WI members to pose nude with them for an "alternative" calendar, with a little help from hospital porter and amateur photographer Lawrence. The news of the women's charitable venture spreads like wildfire, and hordes of press soon descend on the small village of Knapeley in the Yorkshire Dales. The calendar is a success, but Chris and Annie's friendship is put to the test under the strain of their new-found fame. Based on the true story of eleven WI members who posed nude for a calendar to raise money for the Leukaemia Research Fund, Calendar Girls opened at the Chichester Festival Theatre and has since become the fastest selling play in British theatre history.
