Seeking to escape the demands of life in London, Pam Fitzgerald and her brother, Roddy, an aspiring playwright, discover a charming house in the west of England, overlooking the Irish Sea. The house, Cliff End, has long been empty, and they are able to purchase it at a suspiciously low price.

The reason is soon apparent: The house has an unsavory reputation. Fifteen years earlier a murder may or may not have occurred by the gnarled tree that can be viewed from the parlor window. Slowly they sense the evil spirit that still inhabits the house. The climax is truly terrifying when the ghost is discovered to be not only real but dangerous.

In Belle Époque Paris, the recently married Dr. Hercule Molineaux tells "one, tiny, little, hardly noticeable lie" to cover an innocent but embarrassing indiscretion. From that single untruth tumbles a cascade of increasingly convoluted deceptions, misunderstandings and mistaken identities  adding up to a hilariously zany and infectiously charming farce.A hilariously zany ride of mistaken identities, near misses and wild coincidences.

A joyously racy and infectiously charming farce of which Ben Brantley of the N.Y. Times wrote: “ a shaggy poodle story… Feydeau at his silliest in which a maze lurks behind every door and cases of mistaken identity multiply like mayflies.

Tony winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mayzie, and a little boy with a big imagination - Jojo.  The colorful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos.  The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many "thinks."  Horton faces a double challenge - not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie LaBird.  Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping, and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him.  Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.
