A little girl in a red cape skips down the path to her grandmother’s house, a young lad sets out to sell his cow at the market, Cinderella sneaks away from her cruel family to the king’s festival, and a baker and his wife begin a quest to gather objects for a volatile witch in the hopes of having a child. Sondheim and Lapine’s masterful fractured fairytale Into the Woods takes all the beloved storybook characters on a journey through the woods full of music, mayhem, and discovery. In a first for Korsa, this production will run at the newly-renovated, intimate Live Oak Theater and feature all middle school-age performers.
