Ottorino Respighi - Three Botticelli Pictures
A graceful program inspired by the beautiful surroundings of Longwood Gardens. Faure’s elegant incidental music was originally written for the theater.
Respighi was inspired by three Botticelli paintings. Caroline Shaw, a contemporary American composer, took her inspiration from a string quartet of Haydn.

Come celebrate with us in a festive atmosphere. It is a fiery program with dance music from Ginastera, Piazzolla and de Falla. Gabriela Ortiz, a contemporary Mexican/American composer, wrote music that celebrates the spirit animal that guides the Wixarika people of Mexico. The classical guitar, performed by Ana Vidovic, adds to the colorful sounds of this festive concert.
