3 Bands, One Great Show!
Friday, 6/9/23, 7:30-9:30pm
Moraine
Moraine is a four-piece rock band from Baltimore. A raw distillation of years of experience colliding with a bold step forward, the band draws from influence from the far reaches of 90s alternative rock, emo, and hardcore; their sound is anchored by huge guitars, earnest vocals, and an airtight rhythm section.
The Submensas
The Submensas is an original punk rock band from the early 80s and has opened for such bands as Scream, Government Issue, and Gwar in a decade of DC/Baltimore appearances. Recently reformed after 30+ years, The Submensas have found new relevance in the modern world, releasing a full-length album Rock Against Reality in 2020 and planning for another album in 2023.
Black Sevens
Black Sevens is a Baltimore/DC area-based band that plays a mix of covers and originals influenced by British Rock, Post Punk, Indie, and Alternative rock from the 1970s to the 2000s.
Black Sevens formed in 2007 but disbanded in 2008. In the Fall of 2018, Black Sevens reformed with a new lineup and performed locally until February 2020, when the pandemic forced them to stop performing in public. During that time, Black Sevens went through some personnel changes and worked on music until they could go back to performing live. Beginning in September 2022, with the current lineup settled, they are beginning to performing in local D.C. area clubs.
