PART 1 @5pm: Join us in celebrating some of our longstanding artists in the Statewide Cultural Extension Program, as we approach the 55th year of SCEP! Designed for all ages, this first part of evening highlights the broad range of arts programming that SCEP provides to libraries, schools, and community centers across the state.
PART 2 @7pm: The “Art in Dialogue” incubator brought together a cohort of local artists across disciplines. Co-facilitated by SheenRu Yong and Michelle Huynh, this incubator has been a collaborative space to deepen artistic process through shared reflection, intentional experimentation, as well as communal, artist-led feedback. Come support and offer your feedback to our amazing artists!
Come when you can, leave when you must! Bringing your own picnic dinner is encouraged, light pupus and drinks will also be provided.
Bring your own seating or blanket for the outdoor SCEP showcase at 5pm, and then head inside for the Incubator Sharing at 7pm.

Miro Quartet

This internationally acclaimed quartet is known for its technical finesse, expressive intensity, and adventurous programming. The quartet’s repertoire spans many musical genres, including the complete Beethoven cycles, premiers of contemporary works by Pulitzer winning composers, and multimedia projects like the Emmy-winning Transcendence. Their album Home was nominated for a 2025 Grammy Award. Winner of the 2005 Avery Fisher Career Grant, they’re currently Quartet in Residence at the University of Texas Butler School of Music.

Internationally recognized for their “fearless, yet probingly beautiful” (The Strad) performances, the Grammy Awardwinning Parker Quartet has distinguished itself as one of the preeminent ensembles of its generation, dedicated purely to the sound and depth of their music. They’re renowned for their fresh, unique approach to the great classics while being passionate ambassadors for music of our time. Inspired performances and exceptional musicianship are hallmarks of the quartet, having appeared at the world’s most illustrious venues, including Wigmore Hall, Konzerthaus Berlin, and Carnegie Hall, since its founding in 2002.

Celebrating its 15th year, a capella quintet APOLLO5 stands out as one of Britain’s smallest but most dynamic vocal groups. Comprising a soprano, mezzo-soprano, two tenors and a bass, the ensemble is known for showcasing rich, dynamic and distinctive sounds while still connecting intimacy and directness. Their diversified repertoire spans five centuries including Renaissance polyphony, contemporary choral works, folk, jazz and pop.
