Black Ops launches a new theater festival. Week one brings together playwrights, directors, choreographers, dramaturgs and actors from some of the Triangle’s premier Black theater groups for staged readings of three new short works.

Staged Readings are at 7:30 p.m.

Thur March 15: Black Ops presents 11.21.09 by NaTasha Thompson

Fri March 16: Black Poetry Theatre presents Definition of a Hero by Dasan Ahanu

Sat March 17: MOJOAA presents Raissanour by Monet Marshall

Tickets: $10 / $5 students

The festival also includes unticketed events: three free Community Conversations on March 23 and 24, as well as a series of free theater workshops on March 17, 23, and 24, and a master class on playwriting with Howard Craft.
