The Adventures Through the Musical Time Machine season begins with the distinct, ordered, ornate and emotives sounds of the Italian Baroque period with marvelous works by Vivaldi, Corelli, and Albinoni. The concert will culminate with the performance of Pergolesi's masterpiece, the Stabat Mater with renowned soprano Sharon Christman and Washington National Opera mezzo-soprano Anamer Castrello. The Stabat Mater is one of the composers most celebrated sacred works and has been called "the most perfect and touching" works to come from the pen of any composer.

Experience the musical period obsessed with clarity, balance and form and the genius of the three masters all working in Vienna. Includes works by giants of the Classical Era: Haydn's Piano Trio No.39 in G Major "Gypsy", Mozart's Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 32 in B flat Major K. 454, and Beethoven's Piano Trio Op.70 "Ghost."
