The Importance of Being Earnest, a Trivial Comedy for Serious People
by Oscar Wilde

Regarded as one of the finest comedies in the English language, The Importance of Being Earnest was enthusiastically chosen by the NEC Theatre students as their first show of the 2026-2027 season. The show satirizes social norms, theatrical traditions, and moral hypocrisy, and it has delighted audiences for over a century with its effervescent romance and witty repartee.
