The Home Fires is an Americana duo based in Minneapolis comprised of critically acclaimed singer/songwriters, Sarah Morris and Vicky Emerson. Sarah and Vicky are established touring artists, and after developing a close friendship and playing live shows together, they unearthed a gorgeous new sound featuring Sarah's clear, melodic voice and Vicky's warm, weathered harmony.

*This performance is held "Acoustic Café style" in the Paradise Center for the Arts Lobby.

This superb adaptation captures all the magic and charm of everyone’s favorite story. The Darling children love to hear of Peter Pan’s adventures during his visits through the open window of the nursery. Then one night after Nana has taken his shadow and Wendy has sewn it back on, Peter Pan and Tinker Bell whisk the children off to Neverland to be part of the adventures. Wendy, John and Michael become friends with the Lost Boys and Princess Tiger Lily and Wendy becomes everyone’s mother. When the evil Captain Hook captures Wendy and the Lost Boys, Peter Pan comes to their rescue. Together with the ticking crocodile, Peter Pan puts Captain Hook in his place and returns the Darling children to their home.

Chris Koza

Chris Koza is a composer and performer based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Both solo and with his band Rogue Valley, he has supported and shared the stage with artists such as Brandi Carlile, Ingrid Michaelson, The Jayhawks, and Neko Case, among others. His music appears regularly on ABC’s General Hospital and 60 Minutes, and his song Be Wild will be featured as the soundtrack to an upcoming State of Minnesota tourism campaign. His song (Rogue Valley) The Wolves and the Ravens was featured in Ben Stiller’s film The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

The music Chris produces is rooted in Americana but heeds its own spirit. Born out of folk, country, storytelling and rock ’n roll, Chris both honors and builds on Americana traditions by incorporating a unique pop-music sensibility, subtle synthesizers, rich harmonies, and imaginative production choices. As part of a MN State Arts Board Arts Tour Grant, Chis will be leading workshops and special events throughout the week leading up to his performance at the Paradise.

The Marquee Children's Theatre presents Acting Fun for Little Ones

Acting Fun for Little Ones is an introduction to acting, theatre and using your imagination. Over the course of the class, kids will participate in a variety of acting games, art activities, rehearsal, and perform on our main stage for the public. Family and friends are encouraged to join us for the performance.
