A poignant historical drama set in 19th and 20th century Saranac Lake. We come to know Dr. Edward Trudeau and his wife Lottie, during the years of work to develop a cure for tuberculosis. Dr. Trudeau's struggle is not only professional, but has a lasting impact on his family life as well. 50 years later, in 1936, we meet Margaret, a young Jewish writer, who comes to Saranac Lake searching for a cure for her tuberculosis. Set in the pre-WWII years, her journey of self-discovery reveals the struggles of the larger world and her personal challenges with the local community. This production will be a vibrant tribute to an important part of the history of Saranac Lake.
