COUNTRY CROSSING

Country Crossing was formed just over a year ago with a debut at the "So You Think You Have Talent" program at the Kuentz Recreation Center Courtyard.  Since that time, they have shared their talents at the RHJ Lecture Hall, area nursing homes, club events and local libraries.  Country Crossing is a fitting name for the group as they perform contemporary and traditional country tunes, as well as folk, gospel and bluegrass genres.  All members of the trio are Sun City West residents.  Frank Menolascino is featured on guitar; Darlene Kehler plays bass; and Steve Kehler plays the meanest mandolin and harmonica in the Valley - along with providing vocals.  Country Crossing will have you tapping your toes, laughing in the aisles and singing along to old time favorites!

KATE & THE DREAM BAND

A recently formed band of highly experienced and professional musicians, performing a repertoire of music with broad appeal. They play a wide variety of music including pop, jazz, country, and blues. Their music is ideal for listening venues as well as dance.
Kate Schuman, rhythm guitar and vocals, award-winning vocalist and songwriter, portrayed Patsy Cline in the stage musical, “Always . . . Patsy Cline”. Bernie Bear, bass player, represented Arizona twice at the legendary International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN.
Tom Boyer, lead guitar, featured performer for 17 years at the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society convention in Nashville, TN. Larry Regen, harmonica, longtime instructor at the annual gathering of the Society for the Preservation and Advancement of the Harmonica (SPAH).

DAN McCORISON

Dan McCorison originally cut his teeth in the thriving Western music scene in Denver, CO.  Shortly after completing college, he and a couple of friends formed his first band, Dusty Drapes and the Dusters.  The group opened for the likes of Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Flatt and Scruggs and Linda Ronstadt.  Dan's trail eventually led him to Nashville, where he lived for 20 years, writing and recording with some of the finest writers and musicians in country music.  He has played throughout the United States, as well as in Japan, Australia and Europe.  Dan's original song, "Montana Moon", was nominated for Song of the Year by the Academy of Western Artists in 2017.

With a Little Help from My Friends is a three-member group that performs a long repertoire of Beatles favorites with an emphasis on the band's legendary harmonies.  The group features three Sun City residents...Ellie Chaffee, Linda Marman and Tim Polizzi.  All are Sun City West residents.  With a Little Help from My Friends is a West Valley favorite, having performed at several venues throughout the last few years.  Join your friends and neighbors for a trip down Beatles' memory lane with songs from Meet the Beatles, Rubber Soul, Sgt. Peppers, and Abby Road.

Dryheat is a band from the northwest valley area of Phoenix, Arizona that performs a variety of music from Western, Country, Folk, Bluegrass, Old Standards and Gospel. Band members are: Tony Miller, Dave Brinkman, Carol Blackburn and Mike Blackburn

They style theirr performances to the entertainment needs of the audience, using a bit of humor, some interaction, and audience participation.

SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY

Sentimental Journey, a three-woman vocal trio, will grace the Stardust stage with a list of hits from the 40's through the 80's and beyond.  Members of the trio include Karen Ellinwood, Deborah Lynn and Joyce Bowlby.  Sentimental Journey was originally formed by Karen in California.  When she moved to Sun City West, she reformed the group with Joyce, a long-time member of the Sonoran Sounds and Westernaires.  Deborah will serve as a guest singer for the concert - her background lends a country western dynamic to the group.  Beat the heat and enjoy the sounds of Sentimental Journey.

JOHN GAMBER

Crooner John Gamber is a favorite and familiar face and voice, having performed throughout the Valley for many years.  He began his career the evening his wife dragged him kicking and screaming to a dinner theater audition (where she also performed) - and the rest is history!  Upon moving to Sun City West, John was recruited to perform at the Skye Restaurant in Peoria where he opened for The Drifters, The Tokens, Jan and the Americans and many others.  John shares that his taste in music is eclectic - he sings across many genres - but that his personal favorites are "any songs by Roy Orbison"! 

John is donating his time for this concert and a protion of the proceeds will be donated to the SCW Community Fund.

We are changing our Annual Halloween Dance with adding to our Fall Fest and HAUNTING the park!!!!!!!.
We are bringing back The Thaddeus Rose Band by popular demand.
Thaddeus Rose Band is a band with very intuitive and genuinely connect with their audience/fans. Their sound is state of the art and on point. Thaddeus’ graceful yet funky hip-hop moves across the stage serve as the proverbial frosting on the cake. Thaddeus Rose Band is a variety band offering the best dance rock hits of all times. Their remakes of iconic cover tunes are flawless and originate from some of the greatest musicians of our time.
We will still have our costume contest and Thaddeus Rose will be the final judge in our final round of the contest. This will just be an all-around contest with no categories.

KansAZ comes from veterans of local or regional acts and have vast collective musical experiences. They are varied in age, culture, and background but united in their devotion to create a great live experience worthy of one of the greatest progressive and classic rock bands of all time.
