Langston Hughes’ BLACK NATIVITY a retelling of Christianity’s Nativity Story set to jubilant gospel music incorporates dialog, folk spirituals, traditional carols, dramatic dance, and Biblical narrative. The Christmas story expresses African American spirituality and the oral traditions of the African American church.
A Post Show Discussion led by Valerie Gray, Professor of English at Harrisburg Area Community College will follow each performance.

The West Shore Theatre is located conveniently off I-83 in the heart of downtown New Cumberland at 317 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, PA 17070.
Two parking lots are located in close proximity (a short walk) to the theatre. You may also park at any available on-street parking space.
