Based on one of the earliest English-language plays, Everybody by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins puts a twist on a classic morality play, and poses questions regarding one of life's greatest mysteries... Death.
Discovering that their end is nigh, the character Everybody frantically seeks answers to questions like: What do we leave behind? WHO do we leave behind? And more important, is there anyone who might want to come with us? ...Anyone? ANYONE?!!?!
In a true embodiment of live theatre, by which the human element requires every performance to be a never-before-seen and never-to-be-seen-again affair, a unique lottery-style casting held at the top of each show determines who plays which role for each performance.
Everybody offers hundreds of possible permutations of laughter, contemplation, and perhaps at its heart: the meaning of life itself.
Content Advisory:
Suitable for most ages. While there is no official rating system for live theatre, we encourage you to use your judgment based on age, maturity level, and subject matter. This show contains some adult language, themes of mortality, and some undressing, but these make up a small portion of the script.
